In April 2025, we had the privilege of touring Parlanti’s headquarters in Rome, Italy, and witnessing first-hand the artistry that defines every pair of their boots. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the warmth and humility of the team — a family-like atmosphere where each member, whether at a desk or in the workshop, took immense pride in their craft.

From the meticulous selection of premium leathers to the final, intricate finishing touches, every stage reflects a singular vision: to create the perfect boot for each individual rider.

For Parlanti’s celebrated custom riding boots, the process begins the moment an order is placed. The artisans carefully select matching leathers for both the left and right boot, ensuring harmony in texture and tone. The chosen leather is then precision-cut using laser technology before being sewn into moulds and shaped over a supportive structure. Layers are built — from the inner foundation to the hardwearing outer sole — before the final embellishments are applied, whether signature buttons or sparkling Swarovski crystals. The result is a boot that embodies not only performance and elegance, but also the passion and dedication of its makers.

All of Parlanti's leathers are sourced from Italy. All other precious leathers and finishes are responsibly sourced with a certificate of origin.

• Calfskin Leather is a type of leather made from the hide of young cows, known for its softness, fine grain, and durability.
• Buffalo Leather is made from the hides of buffalo, known for its strength, durability, and unique grain pattern. It's often used in high-quality leather goods due to its thickness and flexibility.
• Karung Leather is an extraordinary and unique snake leather.
• Lizard Leather is extremely versatile. The distinctive small-scale pattern is a unique trait of lizard leather, giving it a luxurious and exotic appearance.
• Vegan Leather reproduces the characteristics of natural cowhide in a microfibre. It is hypoallergenic, antibacterial, highly breathable and resistant to abrasions and tears.
• Vibram® Rubber Sole is a new concept of technical sole, made of an advanced mixture of 100% rubber and latex, always ensuring the right amount of flexibility. The “shock-absorbing” technology, built into the heel, dampens down the stresses.
• Soles by Michelin® is a highly technical 100% rubber sole. Flexible and comfortable, it perfectly combines qualities of lightness, adherence and extra strength. To put that into perspective, Michelin® also manufactures world renowned tires.
• YKK® Zippers are the world’s leading fastening solution — and for good reason. Renowned for their strength, precision, and reliability, these high-quality metal zippers have become the industry standard trusted by premium brands across the globe.
• Swarovski® Crystal a type of glass, known for its brilliance and sparkle. It's crafted using a special process involving a high lead oxide content and precise cutting techniques. This combination gives it a high refractive index, allowing it to mimic the sparkle of a diamond.
• Metal a material characterised by its shiny, lustrous appearance and ability to be shaped (malleable and ductile). It is strong and reliable.
• Cotton is a natural, plant-based fibre known for its excellent qualities in clothing production—it's breathable, soft, and naturally biodegradable, making it both functional and environmentally friendly.
• Elastane is highly durable and despite its stretchiness, is less prone to tearing or wearing out compared to other fabrics.
• Polyamide, commonly known as nylon, is valued for its exceptional strength, durability, and moisture-wicking properties.
