Materials

By combining premium materials with advanced innovation, Cavalleria Toscana creates technical apparel that supports athletes in achieving peak performance.

Polyamide, commonly known as nylon, is valued for its exceptional strength, durability, and moisture-wicking properties.
Cotton is a natural, plant-based fibre known for its excellent qualities in clothing production—it's breathable, soft, and naturally biodegradable, making it both functional and environmentally friendly.
Egyptian cotton is a premium type of cotton grown exclusively in Egypt's fertile Nile Delta, which produces extra-long,
fine, and strong fibres that create exceptionally soft, durable, and luxurious textiles. These long fibres are spun into smooth, strong yarn with fewer splices than regular cotton, resulting in fabric that is less prone to pilling, more breathable, and becomes softer with each wash.
Elastane – also known as Spandex -is highly durable and, despite its stretchiness, is less prone to tearing or wearing out compared to other fabrics.
Lambswool – also referred to as Virgin Wool - is the soft, fine wool taken from a sheep's first shearing, usually when the sheep is around seven months old. It is prized for its superior softness, lightweight feel, and smooth texture compared to wool from adult sheep, making it ideal for high-quality garments and plush textiles.
Polyester is a widely used synthetic fabric, known for its durability and easy-care properties. However, it is less breathable than natural fibres and has a notable environmental impact. For this reason, polyester is used sparingly in Cavalleria Toscana’s collections.
Metal a material characterised by its shiny, lustrous appearance and ability to be shaped (malleable and ductile). It is strong and reliable.
Leather is a raw material valued for its durability and repairability. Its long lifespan reduces waste through ongoing use, refurbishment, and repurposing. Much like fine jewellery, leather goods are often cherished and passed down through generations.
Regenerated viscose, also known as rayon, is a man-made fibre derived from plant-based cellulose, like wood pulp.
Polypropylene fibre delivers exceptional durability, maintaining its quality for up to 300 washes—surpassing many other fabrics in longevity. It offers reliable insulation, dries quickly, breathes well, and is 100% recyclable, making it a smart, sustainable choice for performance apparel.

Through CTAcademy — an elite educational program — riders gain the rare opportunity to train with world-class champions and work alongside a dedicated technical team. Since its inception, CTAcademy has guided countless athletes in unlocking their true potential.

From day one, Cavalleria Toscana sought to immerse itself in the sport beyond apparel, supporting athletes in innovative and meaningful ways. Seventeen years later, CTAcademy unites an extraordinary network of professionals among olympic athletes, leading trainers, nutritionists, osteopaths, physiotherapists, veterinary specialists and mental performance coaches, including its very own team of elite riders, the Rome Gladiators.

Operating under the Binomial Performance Model, the program examines every dimension of athletic success: functional training, nutrition, equine sports medicine, and mental preparation, complemented by sports marketing, management, and equestrian law. This comprehensive framework empowers riders to build the personal support systems they need to excel.
