A significant portion of Dada’s collection is produced in Portugal, at one of the world’s leading technical textile factories. The factory’s reliable production process ensures consistent craftsmanship across every garment, while streamlined operations help reduce waste and minimise defects.

While Portugal houses the primary factory responsible for crafting Dada’s garments, the brand also partners with trusted factories in France, Italy, and Romania. A small number of pieces are responsibly produced in China or India, with all facilities selected for their commitment to ethical and quality-driven manufacturing.

Nearly all of Dada’s technical fabrics are sourced from Italy, a country globally recognised for its textile excellence.

• Cotton is a natural, plant-based fibre known for its excellent qualities in clothing production—it's breathable, soft, and naturally biodegradable, making it both functional and environmentally friendly.
• Organic Cotton is cultivated without pesticides or synthetic fertilisers and typically requires less irrigation, relying primarily on rainwater. It’s widely regarded as the gold standard in sustainable textile production for its lower environmental impact and eco-conscious farming practices.
• Elastane is highly durable and despite its stretchiness, is less prone to tearing or wearing out compared to other fabrics.
• Polyamide, commonly known as nylon, is valued for its exceptional strength, durability, and moisture-wicking properties.
• Recycled Polyamide is a more sustainable alternative to virgin synthetic fabrics, made from post-consumer or industrial waste. While polyamide is traditionally synthetic, modern recycling innovations have significantly reduced its environmental footprint.
• Viscose is a semi-synthetic fabric made from natural cellulose, similar to cotton, silk, and linen in its feel and drape but with enhanced moisture absorption and softness. The added durability of viscose means that this textile will last for years to come, making it a more responsible option in the long-run for those conscious of curating a capsule wardrobe that will last.
• Wool from shearing is processed and spun into yarn. Key properties of wool include its warmth, softness, water repellency, and ability to absorb moisture. Wool has long been accepted as an environmentally positive choice with a number of benefits, such as being 100% natural, renewable and biodegradable.
• Polyester is a widely used synthetic fabric, known for its durability and easy-care properties. However, it is less breathable than natural fibres and has a notable environmental impact. For this reason, polyester is used sparingly in Dada’s collections, with the brand favouring more sustainable materials whenever possible.
• Recycled Polyester uses significantly fewer energy resources to produce compared to virgin polyester. Made by melting down post-consumer plastic waste and re-spinning it into new fibres, it helps divert plastic from landfills.
• Polypropylene fibre delivers exceptional durability, maintaining its quality for up to 300 washes—surpassing many other fabrics in longevity. It offers reliable insulation, dries quickly, breathes well, and is 100% recyclable, making it a smart, sustainable choice for performance apparel.
• Lyocell is a semi-synthetic, highly breathable fabric made from wood-derived cellulose. As part of the rayon family, it offers a soft, sustainable alternative to cotton or silk. With its closed-loop production process and efficient resource use, Lyocell typically has a lower environmental impact than conventional fabrics.
